Following Jesus

True words, though from a movie, the world can at times come at us and if not careful we could sink to its level becoming the evil we are battling. I’ve been learning over the years trusting in the Lord, knowing when one stands for truth the attacks and slander and opposition will come, even from within Christianity, therefore we press on fighting the good fight of faith not sinking to to their of fleshly and vile opposition.

As I continue to serve the Lord in my life I will fight the good fight of faith, preach the gospel, stand for truth, oppose bullies, and seek to live a life that reflects what a follower of Jesus Christ is to be, though I will make mistakes and at times fail, but my trust is in the Lord and seek to be a good example to others. As Peter states: “Who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good? But even if you should suffer for the sake of righteousness, you are blessed. AND DO NOT FEAR THEIR INTIMIDATION, AND DO NOT BE TROUBLED, but sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence; and keep a good conscience so that in the thing in which you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ will be put to shame. For it is better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong.” (1 PETER 3:13-17)

My encouragement to you my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus is to seek the Lord daily, pray, be in the Word, have fellowship with fellow Christians in person locally and online, be accountable to one another in humility, seek unity in the essentials don’t divide over minors, and be examples to non Christians that they see Christ Jesus in you. “Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma. But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among saints; and there must be no filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which are not fitting, but rather giving of thanks. For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. Therefore do not be partakers with them; for you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light (for the fruit of the Light consists in all goodness and righteousness and truth), trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord. Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them; for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret. But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light. For this reason it says, “Awake, sleeper, And arise from the dead, And Christ will shine on you.” Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” (EPHESIANS 5:1-17)
